Why we built Aspect
A waitlisted ticket shouldn't leave you guessing. Aspect turns a confusing status into a clear, honest signal — so you can plan with your eyes open.
Anyone who travels by train in India knows the feeling: a ticket that says WL 12 and no clear sense of what happens next. Will it confirm? Should you hold it, or book a backup? The information exists — in how similar tickets have cleared before — but it's rarely put in front of you in a way you can act on.
Aspect exists to close that gap. You give it a PNR or a waitlist position, and it returns a confirmation signal: a real number, with a confidence level, grounded in how comparable situations have tended to resolve. Not a horoscope, and not a promise — a considered estimate you can weigh.
Just as important is what Aspect refuses to do. It won't invent a statistic to look authoritative, won't claim capabilities it doesn't have, and won't quietly keep your personal data. The principles below aren't marketing — they're the constraints the product is actually built around.
What we hold to
A prediction, not a promise
Every result is an estimate with a stated confidence level. We say clearly when we're sure and when we're not — and never dress a guess up as a guarantee.
Honesty over impressive numbers
If we don't have the data to back a claim, we show the limitation instead of inventing a figure. We'd rather earn trust slowly than borrow it with marketing.
Your PNR is yours
We never store your raw PNR — only a one-way, salted hash the original can't be recovered from. Your recent checks stay on your device, not our servers.
Real data, or none
Where a live source isn't connected — fares, seat maps, availability — we say so plainly rather than filling the gap with plausible-looking but invented data.
What Aspect doesn't do
Aspect is a tool for understanding your chances — not a booking service. It doesn't sell or reserve tickets, can't change or cancel a booking, and isn't affiliated with IRCTC or Indian Railways. For booking, payments and refunds, those official channels are the right place. And because a prediction reflects the situation at the moment you check, it can move as cancellations happen and the journey approaches — that's the system working as intended, not a flaw.
If you want to see exactly how the signal is formed, the how it works and methodology pages lay it out step by step, and our editorial standards describe how we handle data and claims.
